Change of plans

Sketch136I spent days trying to do a brooding, photo inspired winter scene card that featured embossed bare trees, masking,  a  fawn and other arty stuff. I could not get the deer stamp to work no matter what -- different inks, different papers, no masking, I even used a fine-grit sandpaper on it.  I gave up and made this instead.

The sweet kitties are from From the Heart Digis and the card also uses the current sketch from the From the Heart blog, I {heart} Sketches.  The kitties are colored in pencils with the sentiment done in Lipstick Red.

I am entering these Challenges:

  2. I quite like the alternative. It is really sweet! I also like the idea of the one strip of striped paper on the inside of your card. I am trying to finish the inside of mine as I make them and this is a good idea.

Thanks for taking part in the January Rudolph Days Challenge.

  9. Always frustrating when the card you want to make just won't happen!! Hopefully it will work another day for you. These little kittens are so cute and love how you've co-ordinated the scarf colours with the patterned paper. So very glad you shared this with us at ATSM this week!

Stencils and diecuts

I've had the idea for this card for a while, but I finally got around to making it this week.  I started by stenciling the stone fence...
