Too late for Talk Like a Day

I needed a birthday card for my brother-in-law, so I decided to try injecting a little humor into the card. I used the Land HO set from The Alley Way Stamps, and the color scheme was inspired by The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge #37.

To me, "arrgggh!" is a fun sentiment. And on the inside, a pirate completes the idea, shaking his fist and saying "another birthday," (which I computer-generated.)

The layout on both the inside and outside is CAS(e) this Sketch #46.

The images are colored with pencils and fussy cut.  The green paper has a nice shimmer to it.

This is also for Tammy's Scrapping Corner challenge #81, "Happy birthday."

  3. Wow! Two points for using the sketch twice in one card!! This is fabulous - I love the way the sentiment works from the outside to the inside. I have tons of TAWS stamps but didn't get the pirate stamps - I'm going to have to because I need to CASE your card! Thanks for joining us at CAS(E) this Sketch!

  5. What a fun card both inside and out! My brother would love this. I like the softness the pencils give the images too.

Stencils and diecuts

I've had the idea for this card for a while, but I finally got around to making it this week.  I started by stenciling the stone fence...
