Carolers
Spring is finally starting to creep in -- daffodils are in bloom and the cherry tree is about to open all its blossoms. But I went ahead and made a Christmas card.
The start for this card was the snippet of sheet-music patterned paper. It set the theme and the colors for my card. I chose to use a stamp that features three little carolers all bundled up against the cold and stamped it on a snippet of ivory paper with maroon chalk ink. The image is mounted on a scalloped oval cut from a maroon snippet. The sentiment, from Stamp Simply, is also in the maroon chalk ink.
For embellishments, I added a bit of maroon ribbon, fabric flower, and burlap leaf.
This card is entered in these challenges:
Double D Challenges -- Let's Make Some Music
Winter Wonderland -- Fuzzy wuzzy (the hats, scarves and earmuffs the carolers are wearing)
