As in much of North America, it's blazing hot now, so why not think fondly of winter?
Here's a Christmas card I made using the current sketch from Sketch Saturday. The image is colored with pencils. For the candleholder, I used a silver pencil I found when I was going through old boxes before moving them again. It's one I used to use to mark fabric for quilting, and it has a nice metallic shimmer. White Wink of Stella adds sparkle and shimmer to the snow piled on the window ledges.
This card is for these challenges:
Sketch Saturday #417
Winter Wonderland -- Add sparkle
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday -- Shimmer
Craftyhazlenut's Christmas Challenge #286 -- Christmas
Craftyhazlenut's Christmas Extra -- Christmas
Craftyhazlenut's Patterned Paper Challenge -- use patterned paper
Word Art Wednesday #236 -- anything goes
Beautiful! I love the window scene and your use of poinsettia! The shine compliments the design perfectly! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Add Some Shimmer” Challenge! Well done!

ReplyDeleteI can't think fondly of winter after freezing my arse off in an office building for 9 hours a day. Or maybe I can.. at least in winter they turn on the heat and I find this card inspiring when it comes to warm thoughts.
