Hi! I'm taking a brief respite from all our unpacking/recovery from a house move craziness to let you know a new challenge begins today at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie. This week, prizes are on offer from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection and Cutting Cafe. To enter, just make a card inspired by the cookies.
My card features a sweet Elisabeth Bell image. I paper-pieced her dress using a snippet of paper from a Martha Stewart pack, and since it's such pretty paper and matches the cookie theme, I used another snippet and a little lace to create a embellishment. The sentiment is white-embossed.
I'm entering this card in these challenges:
Pixie's Snippet Playground #287 -- snippets
Word Art Wednesday #288 -- anything goes
Rubber stamping, stamping, papercrafting and other projects from a writer by trade, stamper by passion.

Cookie Challenge #71
It's time for another Cookie Challenge, and it looks like we are heading to the beach. All you have to do to participate is make a project inspired by the cookies and link it up on the If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Blog. There are two chances to win this time: Scribbles Designs and Lemon Shortbread are both offering digis. Winners are selected by random draw.
For my card, I used a cute little surfer girl from Lemon Shortbread. I found some fun beachy patterned paper to go with it.
I'm entering these challenges:
Crafty Sentiments -- summer
Die Cut Divas -- summer fun
Word Art Wednesday # 286 -- anything goes
Kraftin Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday -- anything goes
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge -- use patterned paper.

Non-traditional snowflakes
I love this blue and lavender color combo; I don't think I've used it for a Christmas card before. The busy panel here was made by repeatedly stamping a snowflake image to fill the space, stamping several generations before reinking. It's a technique that was featured on Splitcoast a few weeks ago, and it results in an interesting textured background..
The singular snowflake was inked in purple and clear-embossed. The snowflakes are from Purple Onion Design.
This card is for these challenges:
Winter Wonderland -- add a snowflake
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #337 -- non-traditional colors
ABC Christmas -- More than 1
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra -- anything Christmas
Word Art Wednesday #286 -- anything goes

Goodbye Mojo
(Well, hopefully not to my mojo), but goodbye to Mojo Monday, which is ending its run. I always love their sketches and have never been able to participate as much as I'd like to, so I made a real effort to do the final challenge.
This is the card I made; a Father's Day card for my FIL. The image is from Rubbernecker, and the sentiment is made with an alphabet set. I dug out a bunch of different blue snippets and dry-embossed the large navy panel. I also added a strip of blue-and-white ribbon.
This card is for these challenges:
Mojo Monday #500 -- sketch
Simon Says Stamp Monday -- make it masculine
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday -- make it masculine
Pattie's Creations #135-- masculine
Double D -- Blue and white
The Ribbon Girl -- June card challenges
Pixie's Snippet Playground #285 -- use snippets
Catch the Bug -- theme: fast and furious (cars...)
Scribbles #53-- Big wheels.

Going Fishing
It's time for another challenge at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie, and this time the theme is near and dear to the hearts of the men in my life. Yuppers, looks like we're going fishing. All you have to do to take part is create something inspired by these cookies. You could win images from Miss Daisy Stamps just for posting a project. My card features a Miss Daisy image called Catch More Fish, which includes a couple of sentiments, too. The fish is colored with pencils. I was pretty sure it was a bass, so I found some online images and based my colors on that. The image is layered on kraft paper and framed with piercing. The sentiment is accented with a funny little dimensional sticker someone sent me.
The card is being entered into these challenges:
Die Cut Divas -- Summer Fun
Victorine Originals #3 -- Fathers/masculine
Simon Says Stamp Monday -- Circle
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday --- anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #284 --- anything goes
The Paper Shelter #296 -- make it digital
Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday -- anything goes
