On Thanksgiving, I usually declare that "I'm here for the sides," namely dressing and pumpkin pie. So why not make pumpkin pie the star of a card?
The pie is from Stamplorations. It's black embossed and colored with water colors, with superfine clear glitter making that whipped cream look magical. I used the Try a Sketch on Tuesday sketch and added a black-embossed seasonal greeting.
This card is for these challenges
Double Trouble #226 -- 3 colors, 2-word sentiment, fall image; plus TSOT sketch (and pumpkins were involved with that pie -- so I think it should count as a "gourd" image)
TSOT #705 -- sketch
Stamplorations never-ending challenge -- Featuring Stamploration pie stamp and die
Word Art Wednesday #772 -- anything goes
Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2640 -- anything goes
A Cut Above -- die cuts
Polkadoodles challenge -- anything goes

Wonderful Thanksgiving card! That background is amazing. Thanks for sharing with us at A Cut Above's October Challenge.

ReplyDeleteSandy, I agree, it's all about the sides at Thanksgiving dinner! I really like how you've created the strip element, then embossed it for texture and added dimension. Thank you so much for sharing your card and talents with both TSOT and Double Trouble!! -Donna
