Vintage doily

A friend in France sent me some gorgeous paper doilies, which she got from a friend of hers who used them in a restaurant that is now closed. I just had to showcase one.  It adds so much texture and elegance to the card.
I went looking through my stash for dp that looked vintage and had some red in it. I got lucky, for sure -- the paper perfectly echoes that beautiful doily.
The image classifies as vintage, too, I think.  It comes from the very first stamp set I ever bought, an SU set called Nice and Easy Notes (or something similar).

This card is for these challenges
Simon Says Stamp Monday -- add some textures
The Ribbon Girl -- July any image plus ribbon
Word Art Wednesday #240 -- anything goes

  4. Wow! Those doilies were an incredible find indeed! I love it when something has such a great sense of history behind it. And you certainly did it justice with the tea theme and patterned paper! It's like the fates were just waiting to have all of these elements put together by a crafty genius and that genius would be you! I really enjoyed seeing this and reading about its creation. Thanks for sharing your skills with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
