Vintage feel

This is a quicky I made for Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge, where the theme is vintage/shab  chic.  The scene is upcycled from a card, and it looks very vintage to me. I simply matted it on a red snipped and added the sentiment. I'm not sure the CAS style is terribly vintage, however, I think the embellishment gives a vintage feel. (The awesome poinsettia is from The Ribbon Girl.).

This card is for these challenges

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #250 -- vintage
CRAFT #333 -- Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra -- anything Christmas
Word Art Wednesday #205 -- anything goes

  4. Love the simply yet elegant lay-out for this card. So delighted that you joined us at Word Art Wednesday. A new challenge is starting today and I hope you visit us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word found in Jeremiah 29:12-13 and the Lord tells us, "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Have an awesome day!

  5. This is a gorgeous card and I wouldn't normally think that vintage and CAS could be together but you did it here.

Stencils and diecuts

I've had the idea for this card for a while, but I finally got around to making it this week.  I started by stenciling the stone fence...
