The latest Technique Junkies newsletter featured a technique called Washi Herringbone, making a herringbone pattern with tape. This was my attempt to do that. I had such busy patterns on my tape that I wanted to keep the card sort of simple, with lots of white space to tone down the busyness. I used Sketch Saturday's current sketch, #296.
The tape is actually probably not technically washi tape, as I got it at Hobby Lobby several years ago, before anyone was using washi tape, but it serves the same purpose.
Sentiment is from Stampin Up. Butterfly is sponged with Mint Melody ink.
I would like to enter this card in the following changes:
Sketch Saturday, sketch #296
Sister Act Challenge 43, Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday #119, Anything Goes
Rubber stamping, stamping, papercrafting and other projects from a writer by trade, stamper by passion.

The herringbone pattern is beautiful. As for authentic washi tape, I've seen people use strips of magazine pages, so it's art and we are supposed to be creative.

Can't wait to see what you link up this time. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word in Psalm 30:5, "For His anger endureth but a moment, and in His favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
