Fun with Ice and Snow

It's been interesting hearing how cold it has been around the U.S. Personally, I prefer my ice and snow in the form of cute images on cards.  So here is my card in honor of the record-setting cold.

The layout is from Splitcoast's weekly sketch challenge. The image is from Impression-Obsession. It's colored in pencils. After cutting and embossing the oval, I sponged ink on the edges while it was still in the die.  I used a ribbon banner in place of the sentiment strip under the snowman.

I'm entering this card in the following chalenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, Blue
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Ice Inspiration
Word Art Wednesday #114, Anything Goes
Loves Rubberstamps #85, Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge, Anything Goes.

  1. Great card! I entered the Simon Says stamp blue challenge too and noticed your card because you used an Impression Obsession stamp. You should link to the Impression Obsession challenge on there blog, it is the color blue as well. Good luck and love your ribbon detail too. Thanks for sharing.
