I found this bit of gold-toned polished stone background in my stash, where I suspect it has been hiding for like a decade. I decided it would make a lovely Christmas ornament, so I die-cut it and added a bit of bold metallic string through the handy-dandy little hole the die provides. I matted it on a a stitched rectangle I cut from dark green card stock and splattered with metallic gold paint. The green panel is popped up on foam take. The sentiment is embossed with a gold metallic EP.

Such a nice and festive card, Sandy! I had to laugh when you told us how old your gold polish is. I just used some glue that I have had for probably over 10 years and it still works great too. I’m so glad you were able to put that to use. You’ve made a great card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We Really appreciate you!
ReplyDeleteHiding for a decade ... I have a few of those ... the polished stone technique was one of the first ones I saw that took me down the cardmaking rabbit hole ... so very glad went for the Gold with us at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteLovely design and I'm relating to having those "gems" hiding for decades in one's stash LOL. We're delighted you've joined us and shared your lovely card at The Paper Funday Challenge.
