My swap group had a challenge that was "text and flower." For the text element, I stamped script on high gloss paper and sponged on lavender ink. Placed that panel behind a die-cut aperture and placed a die-cut flower over it. The sentiment is clear embossed (and between the glossy paper and the clear embossing, it was impossible to get a photo without glare).
This card is entered in these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday -- emboss it
Beautiful Blossoms #31 -- anything goes
Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2528 -- anything goes
A Cut Above -- use a die-cut
Word Art Wednesday #707 -- -- anything goes
A Gem of a Challenge 8-- anything goes
Digi Choosday 7 -- anything goes
This is lovely! The die cut window makes a beautiful frame for the flower. Love that color combination. Thanks for sharing with A Cut Above's July Challenge.
ReplyDeleteReally nice card, Sandy! I love that you have a swap group. That sounds like so much fun. You've done a great job on the interpretation of that challenge too. I love the writing in the background, and the flower really pops. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate you!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card - I love how you die cut the background behind the flower. Thank you so much for joining us at A Cut Above for our July challenge! xoxoxo
