Happy colors, happy thoughts

I don't normally do bright colors, so this is a bit of a departure for me, but change is good, right?

The sketch for this came from the current Moving Along with the Times Challenge, and the colors come from the current Butterfly Challenge.

The card started with the fun snippet of butterfly patterned paper. I found a couple of snippets of green and yellow, and trimmed them a bit to fit. Solid-colored squares are kind of boring, so I ran each through a different EF to add some texture. The sentiment was sent by a friend. It's edged in some Distress Oxide ink and is mounted on an angle with a similar-sized snippet of blue. That's a big (and old) chipboard button with baker's twine wrapped around the central stem.

This card is for these challenges:

Butterfly Challenge #174. (level one; the colors include canary yellow and Cyan, although I think Chartreuse and Chili Red are also present in this card.)

Can you Handle the Pressure -- use embossing

Moving Along with the Times #147 -- sketch

Pammie's Inky Pinkies 2240 -- anything goes

Snippet Playground #438 -- use snippets

Word Art Wednesday #563 -- anything goes
