It's the first day of spring, and I'm showing a Christmas card. Oh, well, I've shown plenty of spring cards while it was still winter.
This card features a Santa image from Scibbles Designs. It's colored in pencils (although I'm not really happy with the coloring and will go back and do some touch-ups). The image panel is pierced all the way around. The layout is from SCS, and it turned out to be a good way to showcase busy patterned paper without overwhelming the card. On the base panel, I used white gel pen to write a little letter to Santa.
This card is for these challenges:
CRAFT #407 -- Christmas
Winter Wonderland -- for a child
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #325 -- anything Christmas

Fabulous card! You're right, this layout IS perfect for showing off some busy papers. And I really like how you added writing to the background; it adds just enough interest without being distracting. Thanks for playing with Jo's Scrap Shack.
