Seeking Inspiration

I have been totally lacking in inspiration for a while now and I'm looking everywhere for a mojo boost. I did find one from Darnell, who suggested trying colored pencils on kraft for her new NBUS challenge.
It's a technique I've wanted to try, so I found this never-been-inked image from Inpression Obsession and stamped it on a pale kraft paper. It might have been a little more dramatic with a darker paper, but I think it works.
The layout is a sketch from Bugaboo's current birthday bash. There's some  grosgrain ribbon and a half pearl to add to the festive quality.

This card is for these challenges:
NBUS#8 -- NBUS stamp, new technique
The Ribbon Girl -- any image
Catch the Bug -- birthday bash Day 2/sketch
Word Art Wednesday #266 -- anything goes

  4. I'm so glad I inspired you, Sandy! (And I'm secretly so pleased to discover that I'm not the only one in our community who had not used colored pencils on kraft, lol!) I love your beautiful bouquet and how you have showcased it! Just for fun, you should now inspire your own self to color it again on a darker kraft and see what you think! Feel free to share it with me if you do! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell

  5. Count me in as not having tried colored pencils on kraft either (or if I have it was so long ago I forgot). I like your image and the shade of kraft you used. I hope you find your mojo soon. I started on some ATCs last night more because I had to, not that I felt inspired to. Maybe that will get me going.
