Cookie Challenge #61

It's time for another challenge at If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.  All you need to do is make a project inspired by these cute cookies.  The sponsor this time is Sasayaki Glitter.  Hope you join in the challenge.
For my project, I used a snowman image from Sasayaki Glitter, which I colored in pencils and Wink of Stella, diecut, and mounted on a scallop circle.  I accented the circle with die-cut snowflakes in white and silver. For the base of the card, I used the pop-up fold I found on SCS. The base is navy and its covered with light blue panels and a strip of die-cut snowflakes.

I am entering my card in these challenges:

Die Cut Divas -- no sentiment
The Paper Shelter #278 -- make it digital
Word Art Wednesday #266 -- anything goes

Gingerbread

I was playing with a set of Tim Holtz Christmas stamps when it struck me that kraft paper is about the same color as gingerbread, and a card idea was born.
For the larger kraft panel, I lightly penciled in a diagonal line corner to corner and used it as a guide
to create three lines of gingerbread men (not sure who makes that little stamp).  I stamped Tim's gingerbread man on another piece of craft, colored it with a little pencil, die cut, and mounted on white. I added a  tiny ribbon tab showing off a ribbon with a candy image, and used pop dots to attach it to the card. The sentiment runs vertically, so things are going every which way on this card.

The gingerman is entering these challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #317 -- use a sentiment
Rudolph Days January -- anything Christmas
ABC Christmas -- B is for ..... Baked goods!
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra January -- anything Christmas
Simon Says Wednesday -- Anything Goes

Christmas candy

I'm still not feeling very creative, but I wanted to start on Christmas cards. This is what I came up with. The stamp is from a Tim Holtz set I won as a Rudolph Days prize last year (thank you Mo). I added a little color with pencils and added a little shine with some paper glaze on the candy.  I found some candy-themed paper to add to the sweet theme.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #316 - anything Christmas
CRAFT #399 -- Christmas
ABC Christmas -- A is for anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #266 -- anything goes
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra/January -- anything Christmas

Seeking Inspiration

I have been totally lacking in inspiration for a while now and I'm looking everywhere for a mojo boost. I did find one from Darnell, who suggested trying colored pencils on kraft for her new NBUS challenge.
It's a technique I've wanted to try, so I found this never-been-inked image from Inpression Obsession and stamped it on a pale kraft paper. It might have been a little more dramatic with a darker paper, but I think it works.
The layout is a sketch from Bugaboo's current birthday bash. There's some  grosgrain ribbon and a half pearl to add to the festive quality.

This card is for these challenges:
NBUS#8 -- NBUS stamp, new technique
The Ribbon Girl -- any image
Catch the Bug -- birthday bash Day 2/sketch
Word Art Wednesday #266 -- anything goes

Cookie Challenge #60

It's time for another challenge at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie.  All you have to do is create something inspired by the fun cookies, and you're in the random draw for prizes. This time, you have a chance to win digis from Bugaboo or Pattie's Creations.

For this challenge, I used a new fold I picked up at Splitcoast. I am really not big on folds, but this one is SO easy, I will definitely be using it again. And this card stands up well for display. I covered all the panels with a fun dotted snippet I have had for ages.

I used a Bugaboo image on my card, colored with pencils, with a little white Wink of Stella on the snow. The image is mounted on a coordinating scalloped circle, cut from another snippet.  The sentiment is on a white snippet, accented with a die-cut snowflake and coordinating half pearl.

I am entering this card in several challenges:
Cuttlebug Mania -- Winter Wonderland
Catch the Bug -- Anything Goes
Time Out #74 -- Winter
Pattie's Creations #130 -- use an animal image
Sweet Pea Mix it up Challenges #27 -- anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #264 -- Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments -- Anything Goes
Pixie's Snippet Playground -- use snippets
