Watercolor flowers

I'm quite happy with how this card came out. The flowers were made with a set of flower silhouette stamps, using the watercolor technique that involves coloring the stamps with markers and spritzing with water before applying to watercolor paper. The sentiment (pretty sure it's from Victorine Originals) is stamped on watercolor paper and mounted on foam tape to get some dimension on this card.

This card is for these challenges:
Butterfly #99 -- denim, dark salmon and dimension
SumMore Fun #26 -- mood board/inspired by the flowers
Double D Challenge -- friendship
Crafty Friends #82 -- flowers
HLS watercolor challenge -- anything goes

Flying Greetings

We have lots of family birthdays coming up, so I've been making cards. Here's one for the airplane lover, featuring a die-cut sent to me by a friend, so I'm not sure of the maker.  The clouds, however, are from Whimsy. The sentiment is from Endless Creations, stamped in navy.

This card is for these challenges:
The Paper Shelter #335 -- birthday card
Crafty Sentiments -- Only for Bosy
Die Cut Divas -- anything with dies
Happy Little Stampers -- anything with dies
Word Art Wednesday #330 -- anything goes

Bee happy

The newest challenge for If You Give a Crafter a Cookie is up and running. The sponsor this time is the ever-popular Bugaboo, which is offering four images, and all you have to do to get in the draw is link up a project inspired by the cookies.
I think it's pretty obvious where I drew my inspiration this time.  I used a bunch of stamps from my stash to recreate one of the cookies on a circle cut with a Spellbinder's Nestabilities die. The flowers are from Victorine Originals, embossed in white with Nuovo drops in the centers. The large bee is of unknown origin, black-embossed with the little flight trail doodled in. The little tag includes a smaller bee (also unknown origin) doctored from a larger stamp and "happy" doctored from a full sentiment. ( I did a lot of doctoring here, didn't I?) The tag is edged in yellow and accented by a yellow satin bow.
This card is entered in these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday -- doodling
Die-cut Divas -- Anything goes with dies
A Snowflakes Promise #50 -- anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #330 -- anything goes
Pammie's Inky Pinkies #1815 -- anything goes

Penguin message

It's taken me a long time to ink up these guys. I purchased this set on a mega-clearance sale at least two Christmases ago, and I'm pretty sure I haven't used any of the stamps before now. They are colored with pencils, with spica pen on the JOY, and metallic silver gel pen adding detail on the the little "hook" part of the ornaments.
I used the Catch the Bug/Stella Says Sketch layout, which called for a sentiment in the lower right corner. Since the main image includes a sentiment, I used the little ornament stamp in the corner.

This card is entered in this challenges:
ABC Christmas -- H is for hat
Winter Wonderland -- cute critters
Word Art Wednesday #330 -- anything goes
CRAFT #463 -- Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Card Challenge #381 -- anything Christmas
Catch the Bug -- Stella Says Sketch #608

Snow in April

Well, thankfully no snow here in April, but it was a cold, rainy, dreary weekend where snow wouldn't have felt out of place, aside from the calendar.
I made this card using the current sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, attracted in part by that fun element of a sentiment down the side. I turned to one of my fave snowmen images, from Paper Cupcakes, which ceased business several years ago. The image is colored with pencils, with Wink of Stella on the snowy parts.
Aside from the green panel, this was a project that ate up snippets -- hurray. I really like it when it's just a matter of trimming the tiniest bit off a snippet but using it pretty much as it was (thereby preventing you from creating even more, smaller snippets) and I accomplished that will all the snippets here.

This card is entered in these challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #133 -- use sketch
Pixie's Snippet Playground #323 -- use snippets
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #380 -- Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge -- use patterned papers
Word Art Wednesday #329 -- anything goes

Modes of Transport

It's time for another challenge at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie, and as you can see, the cookies this time have a transportation theme. The Cutting Cafe is the sponsor, and to get in the draw all you have to do is link up a project inspired by the cookies.

My card features an iconic VW Bug convertible, which is an image from Pattie's Creations. The glittery paper filled with Jeeps is from an set of safari-themed paper that's been sitting for ages. It was time to bring it out, I thought.  The dotted line down the middle of the ribbon makes it look like a road, so I thought it fit the theme perfectly.

This card is being entered in these challenges:
Crafting By Designs -- April Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl -- April Anything Goes
Pammie's Inky Pinkies #1813 -- anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #329 -- anything goes
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge -- use pattern paper

Spring flowers

Here's a fun little image from Bugaboo that makes a cheerful card. The image is colored in pencils with Spun Sugar distress ink around the edges.
I used the layout from the Catch the Bug sketch Challenge (Stella Says Sketch), and added a few sequins for added interest.
The theme of  flowers in a container comes form the mood board at Sum More Fun.
The border and butterfly are punches, and there are some Nuvo drops on the bug body for dimension. The sentiment is from Stamplorations.

This card is entered in thse challenges:
Butterfly Challenge 98 (teal and thistle colors;  not sure if punched borders or sequins count as two identical items)
Catch the Bug -- Stella Says Sketch 607
Sum More Fun #25 -- mood board
Crafting by Designs -- anything goes
Crafty Sentiments -- anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #329 -- anything goes
